Software Engineering Manager, Medications

Salary: $143,000 - 243,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of combined engineering and people-management experience, including responsibility for product delivery and team development
• Ability to balance priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with enterprise monolithic applications and cloud-based enterprise applications
• Experience leading teams and working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

• Lead one or two software engineering teams, including teams focused on resolving customer-reported issues and developing and delivering features
• Work with product managers and user experience designers to set priorities, scope work, and establish realistic delivery timelines
• Guide technical planning and execution across assigned workstreams, delivering on time while maintaining quality
• Support incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up improvements when product issues arise
• Coach and develop engineers through feedback, goal setting, career support, and tailored development opportunities
• Assess engineering processes and recommend improvements to planning, delivery, and operational performance
• Promote AI tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve engineering productivity and problem-solving
• Identify ways to use Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and other LLM-powered tools to reduce repetitive work, improve codebase understanding and test coverage, and shorten development feedback cycles
• Participate in technical design reviews and planning discussions to shape implementation approaches
• Improve team practices for estimation, prioritization, and sprint execution
• Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
