Business Immigration Consultant (Experienced Paralegal)

Overview Fragomen’s Business Immigration Consultant position will provide you with the opportunity to make an immediate impact on our business, delivering client service and technology solutions to navigate global immigration. Responsibilities Independently prepare and file petitions with government agencies, gathering and reviewing documents, analyzing cases, and drafting submissions. Oversee case status using case‑management and billing systems, run reports, and assist with case reviews. Work with clients to intake cases, troubleshoot issues, establish case strategy, and recommend solutions and process improvements. Generate clear, well‑organized written work that demonstrates accurate application of immigration knowledge. Proactively communicate with foreign nationals and client contacts, providing prompt status updates. Meet assigned deadlines in accordance with Service Level Agreements, and communicate case progress, status, and escalations to the supervisor. Assist in hiring, training new team members, and identify ways to improve team productivity and office‑wide projects. Track changes to immigration policy, working with leadership to incorporate updates into processes. Be proficient with case‑management and reporting tools to manage data and information. Follow firm standards and policies to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational, and client compliance. Maintain a continuous‑improvement mindset, regularly seeking opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization. Qualifications Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate plus 4 years of business immigration experience, or Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of business immigration experience. Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various non‑immigrant and immigrant visas and client processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in proofreading documents, drafting fluent prose, and maintaining grammatical accuracy. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and other computer systems. Desire to contribute to a positive work environment, collaborate effectively, and promote teamwork. Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $75,000.00 – $89,000.00 for a hybrid schedule in the local office. Benefits include 22 paid time‑off days plus federal holidays, medical, dental, and vision plans, FSA & HSA plans, and a 401K with company matching.
