This contract opportunity is ideal for a full-time occupational therapist (OT) eager to work in person, using their expertise to foster student success and independence near Okemos, MI.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Understanding of IEP processes and experience collaborating with teachers and support staff
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Ability to motivate, engage, and support students of varying abilities and backgrounds

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, in-person OT services to students according to IEP goals
• Conduct assessments, evaluate student needs, and develop personalized therapy plans
• Monitor progress, adapt interventions as needed, and maintain detailed records
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support
• Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing planning for student success
• Educate staff and families on strategies to reinforce skills outside of therapy sessions
