Become a part of our winning team and bring your fun spirit along with you!/ppThe Intermediate Cook at Nobu is responsible for food preparation and side-work as assigned by the Chef and ensures guests have a superior dining experience by accurately timing and preparing all food product./ppOur Ideal Candidate:/pulliSets up a workstation according to kitchen guidelines./liliPrepares, seasons, finishes, and garnishes designated recipes/menu items as assigned in accordance with established recipes and guidelines./liliRead tickets and prepare food items accordingly with 100% accuracy./liliMaintain quality standards set forth by management and report any inconsistencies as necessary./liliInspect all refrigeration and dry storage for proper temperature, handling and rotation of products./liliWrap, labels and date all food products in accordance with health department standards./liliWorks to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with health department guidelines./liliHandles food items to minimize waste and maintain health code standards./liliOperate kitchen equipment in a safe and sanitary manner with complete understanding of how the equipment works./liliWork a station independently and efficiently with little or no assistance during regular business volumes./liliTakes part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties/liliDemonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learn/liliUpholds service preparation and culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experience/liliPrepare special requests as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction./liliAssist in the training of new employees as requested./liliCompletes special assignments for upper management as requested./li/ulpA Few More Things:/pulliHigh School diploma or equivalent preferred./liliAt least two years of prep or line cook experience in a similar professional kitchen environment./liliRemaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere./liliDemonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency./liliDisplaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests./liliLoud, fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint./liliMust be able to handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner./liliMust be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required/liliAbility to move throughout the outlet (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time./liliAbility to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists./liliAbility to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear./liliManual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders./liliAbility to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 100 pounds./liliAbility to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion./liliAbility to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment./li/ulpGaming Permit: N/A/ppThe above is a minimal description of duties and responsibilities.
