Junior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Media & Advertising firm to fill a temporary Junior Accountant position. This firm is requiring 4-5 days in office in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn. This is a 6+ month temporary position that will extend well into 2027 and will support daily accounting operations. Responsibilities: Assist with Accounts Payable processing by reviewing invoices, matching to purchase orders/service contracts, and assisting with preparing payments Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and reconciliations. Reviewing a high volume of employee expense reports and ensuring compliance to company policies before approving reimbursements Reconciling corporate credit card statements Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain organized documentation. Assist with audits and compliance requirements as needed. Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
