In this role, you are the link between the production floor, the warehouse, and our carriers. You will manage the daily inbound flow of raw materials keeping our lines running, and coordinate the outbound shipment of finished goods. This is a fast-paced environment where schedule changes happen fast, and you’ll need to be highly organized to keep dock doors turning.

​What You'll Do Every Day

• ​Keep the Lines Moving: Coordinate daily inbound shipments of raw materials and packaging to ensure production schedules never face a delay.
• ​Route Outbound Freight: Schedule, book, and route finished goods via LTL, Full Truckload (TL), and parcel.
• ​Manage Dock Appointments: Control the daily dock schedule. Assign time slots to carriers to maximize loading efficiency and prevent staging area bottlenecks.
• ​Be the Carrier Contact: Handle all carrier communication. Negotiate spot rates, track trucks in transit, and troubleshoot missed pickups or late arrivals immediately.
• ​Floor & Paperwork Accuracy: Work closely with warehouse material handlers and shipping clerks. Generate accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs), customs paperwork, and packing slips, ensuring physical counts match the system.
• ​Audit Freight Bills: Review incoming carrier invoices against quoted rates, resolve discrepancies, and approve them for payment.

What We Are Looking For

• ​Manufacturing Experience: 2+ years of logistics, traffic, or dispatch experience specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You understand how a production schedule dictates shipping priorities.
• ​Logistics Knowledge: Solid understanding of freight classes, NMFC codes, LTL/TL pricing, and standard shipping documentation.
• ​Software Skills: Experience using an ERP system (like SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing systems) and a Transportation Management System (TMS). Strong practical skills in Excel.
• ​Problem-Solving: Ability to react quickly when a carrier cancels or a production line shift alters shipping availability.

Plant Environment & Physical Requirements

• ​Your desk will be in the logistics office, but you may spend part of your day out on the manufacturing and warehouse floor verifying loads and talking with supervisors.
• ​Must be comfortable working around active production lines, forklifts, and industrial noise (all safety gear/PPE provided).
• ​Standard Monday through Friday day shift, with flexibility needed to support heavy end-of-month shipping volumes.
