Area Manager - Commercial Cleaning

Clean Team Inc. is seeking a dependable, hands-on Area Manager to oversee commercial cleaning operations throughout the Greater Toledo area.

This is a leadership position for someone who knows how to manage people, solve problems, hold employees accountable, and keep multiple customer locations operating at a high level. The Area Manager is responsible for ensuring assigned facilities are properly staffed, employees are trained and supported, cleaning standards are consistently met, and customer expectations are handled with urgency.

This is not a desk job. Our Area Managers spend their shifts in the field visiting customer locations, working with employees, inspecting facilities, addressing staffing or service issues, and communicating with operations leadership.

The regular schedule is Monday through Friday from approximately 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM . Flexibility is required based on customer and operational needs, including occasional weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and support cleaning employees across multiple customer locations

• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and customer expectations

• Conduct routine quality inspections and ensure cleaning standards are consistently maintained

• Coach employees and address performance, attendance, and policy concerns

• Help ensure customer locations remain properly staffed

• Respond quickly to call-offs and other operational issues

• Monitor scheduled versus worked labor hours

• Help maintain operations within established labor budgets

• Communicate regularly with employees, customers, and operations leadership

• Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and customer requirements are followed

• Maintain supplies and equipment necessary to properly service assigned accounts

• Identify problems and take ownership of finding solutions

• Assist with employee retention by providing consistent leadership, communication, and support

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable managing employees in a fast-moving environment.

Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred. Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, or another service-based operation can be beneficial.

Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between customer locations throughout the Greater Toledo area during their shift.

Strong communication, time-management, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. Because our customers depend on us every day, this position requires someone who can adjust when plans change and take action when an issue needs immediate attention.
