Shipping/Loading Department SupervisorCompensation Pay Range: $53,926.00 - $79,944.00The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.Responsible for directing the daily outbound operations of the shipping/loading department within a distribution center. Assist in ensuring compliance and productivity are maintained while providing leadership and guidance to team members.Essential Job FunctionsOversee all aspects of the shipping/loading department.Assist in ensuring that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures on a daily basis.Work with the operations and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, productivity, etc. within the departments.Responsible for performing scheduled evaluations on team members.Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level.Work with managers to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals.Work closely with the human resources supervisor and the operations manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.Assist the operations and DC managers with planning to prepare annual capital expenditure listing for budgeting purposes.Work with operations and DC managers for approval on any expenditure for the department.Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.All other duties as assigned.Skills/Education/ExperienceRequired:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on customer serviceStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and match numerical and alpha characters quickly and accuratelyBasic computer skillsDesired:College degree or logistics certification2+ years previous supervisory experienceCompletion of O'Reilly supervisor training programFluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)Advanced computer skillsO'Reilly Auto Parts has a proven track record of growth and stability.
