Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate)Minimum Qualifications: Intervention Specialist (Mild/Moderate)Preferred Selection Criteria:Experience with instructional differentiation based upon learning styles, interests, cultural heritage, and creative/intellectual potentialExcellent scores on Praxis content examinationsDemonstrates professionalism and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students and parentsExperience with the formulation of curriculum that is standards basedExperience with IEP writing, implementation and progress monitoringResponsibilities and Essential Functions:Writes, implements and monitors goals and objectives outlined within the Individual Educational PlanReports progress on goals and objectivesMakes changes to goals based on student need and dataProvides services that implement the educational mission and follows all institutional policies of Metro Early College High SchoolWorks collaboratively with other instructors to construct and maintain a high quality integrated learning environmentCollects, analyzes and utilizes assessment data to identify students' immediate & long-range needs to develop lesson plans for assignments & activities that meet and extend student learning opportunitiesOpportunities to team teach or co-teachFacilitates learning beyond the school day through office hoursCoaches and counsels each student regarding his/her academic & behavioral progressTransparency and willingness to share best practicesPlays multiple roles beyond the classroom including student recruitment and admissions, new program development, communication with multiple districts, partnership development with outside organizations, and collaboration with other center initiativesPerforms other duties as assigned by the PrincipalSalary: Commensurate with experienceReports To: Metro Early College High School administration- Ben McKibbenApplication Procedure: Send an email with resume to View email address on click.appcast.io
