Accounting Manager – Lead Financial Operations & Land Development Accounting in North Texas

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations while shaping the future of our finance department as the company expands. This role puts you on a direct growth trajectory toward Comptroller, giving you the platform to manage key construction financials and build a high-performing accounting team.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Support the COO in managing company financial data to ensure full compliance with GAAP standards.
• Perform Accounts Payable tasks to ensure timely and accurate construction vendor payments.
• Conduct Accounts Receivable functions specifically tailored for residential home sales accounts.
• Execute daily General Ledger entries, including recording income, payments, and adjustments.
• Reconcile bank accounts monthly and manage weekly invoice processing with high accuracy.
• Generate and analyze financial reports as needed to drive leadership decision-making.
• Hire, train, and lead a growing finance team to safeguard the company's financial integrity.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Proven bookkeeping experience with a solid understanding of AP/AR practices in residential construction.
• Proficiency in managing accounting data, financial records, and accurate data entry.
• Hands-on experience using MS Excel spreadsheets, Intuit QuickBooks, and Hyphen Solutions Brix.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the drive to build and guide a finance team.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• CPA credentials or active pursuit of certification.
• Specialized experience in Land Development accounting procedures.
• Ability to quickly learn evolving software platforms and internal administrative workflows.
