Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement required
• Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Prior experience in a self-contained special education setting preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic strategies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver differentiated instruction to students in a self-contained elementary therapeutic classroom
• Implement and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment focused on students' academic and social-emotional growth
• Assess, document, and report student progress toward IEP goals
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administration to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized strategies for student success
