Food Service I

This position involves the performance of general kitchen duties which include: baking, washing dishes, serving food, loading food for delivery, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils and work areas, operating kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, peelers, etc. Must have knowledge of cafeteria operations. Supervise children. Physical requirements include ability to stand and walk most of the day, lift heavy weight, and mop. Must be sufficiently coordinated to perform all tasks required. Must be able to work under high temperature and humidity conditions.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have general knowledge of cafeteria operations and be able to attend food service workshops.
• Previous baking and kitchen worker experience preferred.
• Pre-employment medical-physical examination will be required.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
