We're seeking an AVP/VP, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance & Accounting team and play a key role in driving the bank's financial strategy, performance, and long-term growth. What You'll Do As the AVP/VP of FP&A, you will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support across the organization. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans in collaboration with executive management and the Board of Directors. Analyze financial performance, trends, variances, and key business drivers to support informed decision-making. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management analysis. Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to evaluate strategic initiatives and business opportunities. Assess profitability across products, services, customer segments, and branch locations. Monitor and analyze liquidity and interest rate risk, supporting the Asset‑Liability Management (ALM) Committee, Executive Management Team, and Board. Manage the bank's liquidity position in the absence of the CFO. Partner with the CFO and Chief Credit Officer in managing the bank's investment portfolio. Support credit risk modeling, including the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) model, in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Assist with regulatory reporting, audits, examinations, and compliance‑related initiatives. Contribute to the development and enhancement of finance and accounting policies, procedures, and systems. Collaborate with the investor relations team on scenario modeling, executive presentations, and financial analysis. Assist in evaluating potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic growth opportunities. Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting capabilities, data quality, and operational efficiency. What We're Looking For We're seeking a finance leader who combines technical expertise with business acumen, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, and 2-4 years of relevant banking experience. Advanced financial analysis, forecasting, modeling, and problem‑solving skills. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and performance management. Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leaders and stakeholders. Ability to work independently while building strong partnerships across multiple departments. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis techniques. Preferred Qualifications Experience within community banking or financial institutions. Knowledge of bank profitability analysis, liquidity management, interest rate risk, regulatory reporting, and bank finance operations. Experience with Fiserv, Jack Henry Profitability/ProfitStars/FPA, Microsoft Access, or similar financial systems. Commissioned Bank Examiner designation, Graduate School of Banking education, or equivalent professional development. Experience supporting strategic planning, capital management, investment portfolio analysis, or merger and acquisition activities. Why Join First FarmBank?
