Estimator

Title: Estimator Location: Cincinnati, OH Compensation: Up to $160k Our client, a respected General Contractor in the Midwest, is seeking an experienced Estimator to support major commercial projects across the Greater Cincinnati area. This role will lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for complex mixed-use, healthcare, office, and institutional developments, ensuring accurate budgets, competitive bids, and strong alignment with project strategy from concept through award. Key Responsibilities Lead estimating efforts for large-scale commercial projects, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and final bid estimates Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, bid packages, and scope reviews Analyze drawings, specifications, and construction documents to identify project requirements, risks, and opportunities Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor bids to ensure complete and competitive pricing Partner with Preconstruction Managers, Project Managers, and Operations teams to align budgets, procurement, logistics, and project approach Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, and internal stakeholders Review project schedules, site logistics, phasing, and constructability considerations during preconstruction Support value engineering, cost analysis, and budget reconciliation throughout the design process Prepare bid proposals, presentations, and handoff documentation for a successful transition to operations Required Experience & Skills Proven estimating experience with a General Contractor on commercial projects Strong background estimating complex ground-up builds in sectors such as healthcare, mixed-use, office, institutional, and large commercial developments Deep understanding of construction costs, trade scopes, sequencing, procurement, and market pricing Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents accurately Experience with estimating, takeoff, and construction management software such as Procore, BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar platforms Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced preconstruction environments Familiarity with the Greater Cincinnati construction market is preferred A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus Apply now by sending your resume to Ben at: View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr
