Assistant Property ManagerThe role of the Assistant Property Manager is to provide excellent service to our investors. You will become intimately familiar with the unique operating procedures of your portfolio, execute at the highest level and ensure that the portfolio is performing optimally. You are a high performer and will manage the resolution of complex and ever-changing challenges while accurately managing expectations. Adaptability, high attention to detail and impeccable communication are a given. Your portfolio will grow rapidly and across state lines and it's incumbent upon you to exercise extreme ownership in all areas of the business, including leasing, R&M, resident services, and accounting to ensure everything goes smoothly. You will work collaboratively with, and act as a liaison between, the investor and the rest of the Roofstock organization, partnering with other departments and product as needed. This role has the support of the entire Roofstock team and is critical to our growth strategy.Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio in accordance with investors' changing goals and objectivesProvide excellent customer service at all times to our investorsResolve complex problems as they arise and permanently resolve the underlying issues to prevent them from happening again, all while appropriately managing the expectations of investorsSystematically assess, organize, schedule and execute tasks by leveraging proprietary technology and our centralized teams of excellenceProactively create tasks for Roofstock team members and follow up to ensure satisfactory completionBuild strong virtual relationships with all other Roofstock departmentsEnthusiastically embrace innovation by testing software, processes and organizational changes, while providing actionable feedback in the spirit of continuous improvementAbility to discuss and cross-sell Roofstock real estate productsYou may oversee Onsite Managers, who live on the premise of any property with sixteen or more apartments and perform various tasks at the propertyAssist investors with the purchase/sale of income propertiesServe as a company representative in eviction-related court hearings when required. This includes in-person appearances for contested cases, appeals, or by court or legal request to support case resolution and clarify property management actionsQualifications:Must have an active Real Estate LicenseBachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience2+ years experience in residential or commercial property management, or real estate operations, requiredPrior experience working directly with property ownership, a plusCost and revenue management experience, highly preferredTech savvy and experienced in working in a multitude of property management softwaresExtreme attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-driven and intrinsically motivated with the ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlinesThrives in a fast-paced and startup environmentLocation: Atlanta, GA, Bay Area, CA, or Portland, ORTravel required:Must be able to travel within the assigned area a minimum of 10% of the timeTravel may be required for training + offsitesValid drivers license and a reliable source of transportationCompensation: $60,000 annual base salaryPay Transparency Our compensation reflects several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position represents the expected salary for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay it will be based on several factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and other job related factors.
