Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Extra Skills (Optional) Basic PC / Outlook skills Retail Management Certificate The Opportunity The Part‑time Retail Associate performs management‑assigned duties, which may include but are not limited to stocking, carry‑out services, and store cleaning. Responsibilities Maintain a store section as assigned and stock merchandise using proper equipment (excluding power or heavy equipment). Ensure proper pricing on merchandise and check product date codes to validate proper rotation; stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases. Prepare perishable products for sale as needed. Set up advertising/promotional displays. Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior areas of the store and parking lot as directed by store management. Offer friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and courteous assistance to customers by providing them with current store and product information. When requested, load customer purchases by assisting customers to their vehicles. Perform basic bookkeeping duties, including recording lost or damaged goods and store supplies using appropriate tools.
