Our experienced team assists restaurants, bars, hotels, grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, retailers, entertainment venues, manufacturers, distributors, and other businesses with the many licenses and permits required for their operations. From liquor licenses to health permits, tax registrations, tobacco and lottery licenses, and everything in between, we help businesses get through the licensing and permitting process. Job Description This is a full time hybrid role as a Licensing Specialist based in our Houston office with great flexibility with a hybrid WFO/WFA schedule. Ideal candidates will be ready to quickly learn an array of assignments and assume responsibilities in a diverse range of matters. We are looking for a proactive and detail oriented individual who can seamlessly navigate between providing support to our licensing team and communicating directly with clients and regulators. This teammate should be highly organized and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. We are seeking a self starter who is self disciplined, has exceptional multitasking abilities and is comfortable working both remotely and in a collaborative office setting. Knowledge of and comfort using technology is an absolute necessity. Candidates must have reliable transportation. Any state or city government experience is a plus. TABC, TDLR, DOH, Texas Comptroller, TWC, etc. is preferred. You will prepare, file, and track license and permit applications through the TABC AIMS portal and other state systems, manage renewals, transfers, and change of ownership filings, secure and file surety bonds, obtain local city and county certifications in person, monitor deadlines and deficiency notices, and keep clients updated from the first question to final approval.
