This full-time remote position is integral to improving the lives of seniors within our Detox Center in Mesquite, Texas. Work Environment\n

As a fully remote position, this role allows for flexibility in work hours to accommodate the varying needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will participate in scheduled online consultations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams consisting of healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members. Available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, occasional evening or weekend hours may be required depending on client needs. On-call availability might also be necessary for urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients’ psychosocial needs, integrating emotional, mental, and social aspects relevant to their detox process.

• Develop personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, addressing unique goals and preferences to facilitate their recovery journey.

• Provide ongoing counseling and emotional support to seniors and their families, equipping them to cope with transitions and challenges that arise during detoxification.

• Advocate for clients’ rights, helping them access necessary community resources and ensuring effective service delivery.
\n
• Regularly evaluate clients’ living conditions and well-being through virtual visits, ensuring safety concerns are promptly addressed.

• Act as a mediator to facilitate effective communication among family members involved in the care process, resolving conflicts when needed.

• Educate clients and their families about available resources, support groups, and programs to enhance social interaction and quality of life during recovery.

• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions including assessments, care plans, and progress notes to ensure compliance with professional standards.

• Stay informed about the latest social work practices and care techniques to continuously enhance service quality.

The primary focus of this role is seniors undergoing detoxification and their families. As a social worker in a detox center, you will encounter a diverse range of emotional and psychosocial complexities that require sensitivity and specialized support. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
