TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Shelby, North Carolina, 28150!

Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in Med/Tele RN License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Basic Med/Tele skillset including cardiac rhythm interpretation. Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone). Wound care and drain/tube management. PIV starts and central line management. Description: This position is for a MedSurg/Tele Registered Nurse. The facility has 241 licensed beds and a Level 3 Trauma designation. It is a teaching hospital and a certified chest pain center and stroke center. The unit has 32 beds with an average census of 28 patients. The patient ratio for days is 1:4-6 and nights is 1:5-6. Surge staffing may result in ratios of up to 1:7-8. Certified Nurse Assistants assist with vital signs, baths, and mobility. Receptionists perform rounding and secretarial duties. Charge nurses are available as resources to assist with nursing care. Phlebotomy services are provided, excluding nurse draws. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Hospitalists and intensivists are also available 24/7. Telemetry monitoring and tech support is provided. EMR used in the facility is EPIC. IV pumps utilized are Alaris and medication dispensing is through Omnicell. Monitors used are Phillips brand. Travelers may be required to float within the region based on needs. If floating mid-shift, the traveler will be compensated for travel time between facilities. Weekend rotation requires working every other weekend. There may be call requirements due to low census. Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays. The scheduling cycle is every 6 weeks. Scrub color is navy.
