Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position specializing in urology, gynecology/oncology, and kidney/pancreas transplant surgeries with robotic surgery experience required.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room (Tier 5 GU/GYN/TX - kidney, procurement, and pancreas) at a hospital setting
• Day/Evening shifts, 12 hours, 0640-1910 x3 weekly with potential for one 0940-2210 shift biweekly
• Weekend rotation required
• Weekday call requirement
• Floating required as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Epic charting system
• Performs kidney transplant, Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery, hysterectomy, urological and GYN robotic procedures, nephrectomy, HOLEP, cystectomy, ureteroscopy, laparoscopic gynecology, anterior/posterior repair, abdominal hysterectomy, and organ procurements

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to
• Experience required in urology, gynecology/oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, and robotic surgery
• Epic charting system experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for adult and pediatric rhythm identification

• Work in a Magnet-designated, Trauma Level I teaching hospital setting ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
• Perform surgical procedures including gynecologic and urologic robotic surgery, transplant surgeries, and general OR cases
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Skills required include administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedures, urinary bladder catheterization, emergency management, code response, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, and malignant hyperthermia management
