Audit Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will have experience performing audit and assurance procedures, preparing workpapers, and assisting with financial statement engagements for privately held companies. Responsibilitie Assist in the planning and execution of audit, review, and compilation engagements Prepare audit workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with professional standards Perform testing of internal controls and substantive audit procedures Analyze financial data and identify potential issues or discrepancies Assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and supporting documentation Work collaboratively with engagement teams to meet deadlines and client expectations Stay current on accounting and auditing standards, including GAAP and GAAS Participate in client meetings and fieldwork as needed Qualification Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Approximately 2 years of public accounting audit experience Progress toward CPA certification preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and GAAS Experience preparing audit workpapers and performing audit procedures Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Experienc Experience working with privately held companies Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, real estate, professional services, or nonprofit clients Familiarity with CaseWare, CCH Engagement, or similar audit software #J-18808-Ljbffr
