Inpatient Coder

Working remotely, the full-time Inpatient Coder will accurately code and abstract clinical information from medical records, maintain coding data quality, and assist with training and quality reviews. Key responsibilities Accurately and productively code/abstract patient health documentation for assigned facilities Review flagged cases for coding accuracy and assist in coding quality reviews/audits Attend coding education sessions and maintain professional coding credentials Required qualifications Associates or higher-level degree in a Health Information Management discipline Successful completion of at least one AHIMA certified program with the corresponding professional credential preferred (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, etc.) 1-3 years of inpatient coding experience Skilled and working knowledge of MS Office suite Strong technical background and electronic medical record experience
