Sales Analyst - Foundations

Job Description We are looking for a Sales Analyst to join our Foundations team in Fremont or San Rafael, California. The Nextpower Sales Analyst will input and manage all aspects of customer projects information within the CRM system, generate quotations and comprehensive proposals based on project technical requirements and customer specific needs. The Sales Analyst works closely with the Project Engineering, Logistics, Operations and Finance teams to ensure that Nextpower consistently exceeds customer expectations while maintaining maximum margin contribution. This role includes internal and external management responsibilities, coordinating and driving departments to provide inputs, and following up with customers and outside contractors. The Sales Analyst supports Account Managers, Sales Directors and other Sales Leaders on the Global Sales Team. Key Responsibilities Coordinate sales proposal process and generate quotes. Provide creative input to bid strategy. Track sales activities using NetSuite ERP and Salesforce.com CRM. Manage all CRM system reporting, improvements and modifications. Generate sales reports and presentations and present to stakeholders. Create and maintain sales models, ensuring positive contribution margin. Work closely with the Global Sales/Business Development Team on deal structuring and bid strategy. Collaborate with Marketing & Product Management on new products. Work with Customer Care to ensure efficient communications and customer satisfaction. Streamline, standardize, and improve proposal templates, binders, and client presentations. Build working relationships with other departments (Customer Applications, Cost Accounting, Logistics, Engineering) for on‑time delivery and quality. Analyze orders and quotes to determine hit rates, market segments, value proposition effectiveness, and lead sources. Support the Director of Sales and Account Managers on an ad‑hoc basis. Required Qualifications BS/BA in a business or technical field (MBA desired). Experience in sales analysis, financial analysis, business development, and/or program management. Solar experience is a plus. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience utilizing CRM tools; Salesforce.com knowledge is a plus. Strong financial modeling skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated attention to detail in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Passion for solar, always a plus.
