Accounts Clerk: Payables, Receivables & Reporting

Job Description Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. Data entry of financial transactions into accounting software. Prepare invoices, bills, and bank deposits. Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions. Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing procedures. Maintain accurate records of financial transactions. Provide support to senior accountants and financial managers as needed. Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes. Reconcile bank accounts and balance‑sheet accounts. Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and variances. Prepare and file sales tax returns and other compliance documents. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes. Provide support for audits and internal control assessments. Prepare financial reports and presentations for management. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may require an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks). Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role. Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
