Quest International is hiring a hands-on Field Service Engineer II to support customers throughout the Cincinnati, Ohio territory .

This is a field-based technical service role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, traveling to customer sites, and solving problems independently.

You will work directly with A/V, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems in customer environments, including equipment used in medical and healthcare settings.

What You’ll DoTroubleshoot & Repair Equipment

Diagnose A/V, electronic, and electro-mechanical equipment failures using professional diagnostic tools, technical documentation, and systematic troubleshooting.

Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

Complete scheduled maintenance and respond to equipment failures to help maintain system reliability and minimize customer downtime.

Install & Service Technical Systems

Install, maintain, and service equipment involving:

• HDMI

• USB

• Coaxial cable

• Cat5/Cat6

• Wiring harnesses

• Connectors

• Electronic components

• Signal paths

• Monitors

• Speakers

• A/V and signal-processing equipment

Repair & Verify

Replace failed components and assemblies, complete repairs, and verify proper equipment operation before closing the service call.

Support Customers in the Field

Travel to customer locations, communicate professionally with customer personnel, and provide clear updates regarding technical issues and completed service work.

Document Service Activity

Complete accurate service reports, repair documentation, work orders, and other required customer and internal records.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone with real hands-on technical experience who is comfortable diagnosing equipment—not simply replacing parts without determining the cause of the failure.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1–3 years of professional hands-on experience in A/V, electronics, field service, equipment repair, or a similar technical environment.

• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing technical equipment.

• Experience working with HDMI, USB, coax, Cat5/Cat6, wiring harnesses, connectors, electronic components, and signal paths.

• Professional experience using a digital multimeter and other diagnostic or service tools.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective action.

• Ability to accurately document completed service work.

• Reliable transportation.

• Availability to support the Cincinnati service territory .

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight assignments .

• Flexibility for changing customer schedules, early departures, late returns, and overtime when required.

• Willingness to complete the required Human Performance Test .

Travel & Work Environment

This is a field-based travel position and is not a remote, work-from-home, IT help-desk, or software-support role.

Travel may reach up to 80% and may include overnight stays, early departures, late returns, and schedule changes based on customer needs.

Employees are generally expected to be home on weekends, although flexibility may occasionally be required based on business and customer demands.

Compensation

$30.00–$34.00 per hour , based on experience and qualifications.

This position is overtime eligible .
