Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Downey, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting support within a fast-paced business environment.

The Accounting Clerk will support daily financial operations for a manufacturing company, helping ensure invoices, payments, reconciliations, and accounting records are accurate and completed on time. Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable invoices, match documentation, verify approvals, and assist with vendor payment preparation.
- Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, payment posting, account updates, and customer account follow-up.
- Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, and assigned general ledger accounts to support accurate financial reporting.
- Maintain organized accounting records, files, and documentation in accordance with internal procedures.
- Assist with month-end close activities, data entry, reporting, and accounting department projects as needed.
- Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and documentation questions.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $25.00 to $29.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Support reconciliations, invoice processing, payment posting, and accounting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close tasks and routine accounting reports.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.

- 3-5 years of accounting clerk, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related accounting support experience.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment workflows.
- Proficiency with accounting software, data entry, and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting accounting operations in a manufacturing, distribution, or production-based environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or integrated accounting platforms.
- Experience handling high-volume invoices, vendor statements, customer billing, and account reconciliations.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and spreadsheet reconciliation.
