Workflow Annotator, Finance & Data Analysis

Help improve AI systems by capturing and documenting realistic finance and data-analysis workflows. This remote contract role focuses on translating hands-on finance expertise into accurate, secure, multi-step workflow examples. No prior AI experience is required. Key Responsibilities

• Design and document authentic finance and data analyst workflows, including data pulls, reconciliations, financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
• Execute workflows independently using tools such as Snowflake and Excel or Google Sheets, recording each step, decision, input, and output.
• Incorporate collaboration tools naturally where relevant, such as Slack threads for cross-functional coordination and shared documents for distribution and feedback.
• Create thorough scenario documentation in an internal annotation platform, including step-by-step instructions, rationale, formulas, SQL queries, and illustrative screenshots or results.
• Identify ambiguous or edge-case scenarios, raise them with the project team, and incorporate feedback to improve workflow accuracy and coverage.
• Maintain strong data-security and privacy practices throughout workflow execution and documentation.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in FP&A, accounting, financial analysis, or data analytics.
• Practical experience with advanced spreadsheets and data warehouse tools, such as Snowflake.
• Ability to write reliable SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability when producing financial workflows and documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex processes to people unfamiliar with the work.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft 365, or Google Workspace in finance or data workflows.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or BI dashboards such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
• Experience in data annotation, process documentation, or quality assurance is an advantage.

$14 to $36 per hour.
