Regional Sales Manager

My client, an innovative and rapidly growing consumer products company, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to build, lead, and develop a high-performing field sales team across a multi-state region. Responsibilities Include:

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a team of Territory Sales Representatives.
• Coach and mentor sales representatives through regular field ride-alongs and in-market training.
• Drive new business development and retail execution across convenience stores, smoke shops, vape shops, and other independent retail accounts.
• Monitor territory performance, sales activity, merchandising standards, and CRM reporting.
• Conduct weekly performance reviews, territory planning sessions, and ongoing coaching.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail customers throughout the region.
• Develop talent through structured onboarding, performance management, and continuous training.
• Partner with senior leadership to execute regional sales strategies and support market expansion.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3+ years of sales leadership experience within tobacco, nicotine, vapor, beverage, or other consumer packaged goods industries.
• Proven success hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing field sales teams.
• Experience selling into convenience stores, C-store, or other retail channels.
• A strong "player-coach" leadership style with a passion for developing people.
• Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity and team performance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout an assigned multi-state region.
• Experience launching a new product or brand is highly preferred.
