Shrink-Wrap Machine Operator: Efficient Packaging Pro

About the role The Shrink‑Wrap Machine Operator is responsible for keeping the rewinders up and running. Perform other tasks as assigned. What you’ll do Ensure quality checklists are completed and sign off on every job Employees work efficiently to meet production standards. Recommend process improvement opportunities to management. Back up for material staging, production receiving, and production shipping when needed Be available to assist with plates, tools, and ink staging when needed. Operates shrink-wrap machine to package products. Performs minor adjustments on the machine to accommodate different products to be wrapped. Sorts and counts unwrapped products and ensures they are wrapped correctly. Inspects and removes defective or damaged products. Transport wrapped products to the shipping area. Performs basic maintenance on the shrink-wrap machine. Notifies supervisor or other appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous related experience preferred; on-the-job training offered. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time. Must have Ability to use common tools. Ability to understand and follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to climb a ladder and step on a stool.
