Quality Manager

Required Skills & Experience

2-3+ years of quality management, quality engineering, quality assurance, or manufacturing quality experience.\n Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or production environment.\n Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).\n Experience interacting directly with customers including managing customer complaints, product quality issues, and nonconformance investigations.\n Experience creating, maintaining, and managing quality system documentation.\n Experience presenting quality metrics, trends, and analysis to leadership teams and customers.\n Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and build requirements.\n Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.\n Experience managing a team of quality technicians or inspectors.\n Experience within prefabrication, modular construction, structural steel, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing environments.\nProficiency with Navisworks Manage, Revit, or Inventor.\n Ability to review and navigate 3D models and construction/manufacturing design files.\nASQ certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or similar credentials.

Job Description

An Insight Global customer in the industrial manufacturing and prefabrication construction industry is seeking to hire a Quality Manager on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This individual will be responsible for leading quality initiatives within a prefabrication facility while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, internal quality standards, and manufacturing requirements. The Quality Manager will serve as the primary quality representative for both internal operations and customer-facing quality discussions, driving continuous improvement efforts and supporting quality-related decision making across the facility.\n\nThis role will manage a small team of quality technicians and work closely with production leadership to investigate quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and improve overall product quality. Daily responsibilities include reviewing quality data, managing customer quality documentation packages, resolving process and material-related quality issues, conducting audits, maintaining quality system documentation, and supporting production teams with quality compliance efforts.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable balancing both office-based and production floor responsibilities. Approximately 70% of the role will involve analyzing quality data, creating reports, participating in customer conference calls, and compiling quality documentation, while the remaining 30% will involve supporting operations on the manufacturing floor. Strong communication skills are critical, as this individual will regularly interact with customers, operations leadership, and production personnel.\n\nThis position is based onsite in Phoenix, AZ and offers a strong growth opportunity as the quality team expands in the future.
