Treasury Operations Analyst – Energy & Utilities

Location: Pennsylvania or Kentucky – Onsite
-Allentown, PA Location: West Hamilton St. office
-Louisville, KY Location: Eastpoint office
Contract: 6 months
Compensation: $22/hour

About the Role

Our client, a leading organization in the energy and utilities industry , is seeking an organized and self-motivated Treasury Operations Analyst to support cash control and banking activities within the Treasury Operations department.

This role will be responsible for performing daily cash and banking controls, reconciliations, transaction matching, and related administrative accounting activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial information, and understands the importance of strong internal controls and the safeguarding of cash within a SOX 404 environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform controls related to vendor and customer banking information, including callbacks and validation of requested changes.
• Complete daily interface controls to ensure systems and processes are operating as expected.
• Assist with daily, monthly, and quarterly cash controls to ensure transactions are properly recorded and help prevent fraud.
• Perform daily matching of book records to bank transactions using Treasury reconciliation software.
• Research and resolve exceptions or discrepancies identified during daily matching.
• Prepare and analyze monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with management and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Support the unclaimed property process, including preparing reports, initiating payment requests, and responding to customer inquiries.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Banking Operations, Accounting, Finance, or a related field .
• Experience with bank reconciliations, cash reconciliations, transaction matching, or cash controls .
• Understanding of internal controls and/or SOX 404 requirements .
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
