Looking for a rewarding opportunity to support students and make a positive difference each day? Berks Career and Technology Center (BCTC) is seeking several dedicated Instructional Assistants to join our team and help high school students succeed in a hands-on, career-focused learning environment.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma and be proficient in math, reading and writing. Specialized training and/or working with youth is preferred. Candidates possessing work experience in any technical trade is a plus.

Company paid dental, vision, long term disability and life insurance plans. Paid sick (10 accumulative), personal (2 - 3 based on date of hire), holiday (1 - 4), and bereavement (1 - 3 as needed) days per school year. PSERS retirement contributory pension and tuition reimbursement. Starting salary is $16.20/hour with annual increases.

What is the schedule? Full-time (32.5 hours per week); work schedule is congruent with the school calendar (189 days). Summers off, no night or weekend work! Have off all the good holidays and never worry about traveling during weather-related days! A great Monday through Friday work schedule (8:00 am to 3:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break) especially for retirees or a parent with school aged children.
