Java Backend Developer

Location: Alpharetta, GA/ St. Louis, MO

Duration: 12 months

NOTE: Java 8 / 11, Spring Boot, Microservices, TDD - JUnit, CI/CD, AWS or GCP Needs to have a good understanding of Microservices Architecture, Spring Boot, Lambda Expression, Streams, Cloud Services in AWS or GCP

Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of short and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure. Often involved in modifying or adapting existing designs. Reviews technology requirements and business processes; codes, test, debugs and implements software solutions. Roles are often project based, delivering technology change within the business. Develops and maintains technical capabilities and products to meet the business needs. Provides engineering support in the conceptualization, development, implementation and automation of technical capabilities and products. Provides technical advice and consultation on complex, critical programming applications.

Required Skills:

• REST API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 web standards
• Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot tools(Dependency Injection, Spring MVC, Transaction Management, Spring Security..
• Experience with full web stack including Node.js, Webpack or Gulp.
• Front-end unit testing with Karma, Jasmin and Protractor.
• Knowledge and experience with several aspects of security including Web Services Security (OAuth, WS-Sec), Single Sign-On, AES encryption.
• Rest services and testing using Postman, SoapUI.
• TDD based unit tests with JUnit, Mockito and static code analysis using SonarQube.
• Logging and auditing using Logback.
• Code repository & management processes with tools like Git or Bitbucket
• Hands on experience fixing top security vulnerabilities as outlined in OWASP and Fortify scans.
• Worked on Java build & dependency management using Maven, Jenkins, Nexus.
• Performance & load test improvements via memory and thread dump analysis.
