Sterile Processing Technician – Endoscopy

Position Overview:

Seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support both sterile processing and endoscopy operations. This role is responsible for the decontamination, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and endoscopic equipment to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
• Additional shifts may be available based on availability
• One call shift per week required: 3:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and trays
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment following infection control protocols
• Inspect instruments and equipment to ensure proper function and cleanliness
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for cases
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including routine testing and documentation
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation for sterilization and reprocessing activities
• Follow infection control and safety standards at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience
• Endoscopy and/or surgical experience preferred
• CSPDT certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Sacramento,CA.
