- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial procedures.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
- Analyze financial results and provide meaningful insights to leadership.
- Partner with operational leaders to support budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Assist with special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
- Experience managing month-end close and account reconciliations.
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial audiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- CPA designation preferred but not required.
- Accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close activities.
- Strong internal controls and audit readiness.
- Well-developed and engaged accounting team.
- Continuous improvement of accounting processes and efficiencies.
- Credible and trusted business partner to leaders across the organization.
- Financial reporting that supports informed business decisions.
