Today, Colonial Williamsburg is the largest living history museum in the U.S. The Historic Area is the 301-acre restored colonial capital with 89 original buildings and 525 buildings reconstructed to how they appeared in the 18th century through extensive archaeological, architectural, and documentary research. The Historic Area is staffed by highly trained, historically dressed interpreters and expert tradespeople who bring the 18th century to life. The Foundation also owns and operates two world-class museums, the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum, and the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum, The Bob and Marion Wilson Teacher Institute, and a renowned research library, the John D Rockefeller Jr Library. Additionally, Colonial Williamsburg is home to five world class accommodations at the Williamsburg Inn, Williamsburg Lodge Autograph Collection, the Griffin Hotel, the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotels and Suites and the unique Colonial Houses in the Historical Area. Each year over 5 million people visit Williamsburg and another 20 million engage with us digitally. ***This position is an Onsite position and candidates must reside in or be ready to relocate to Virginia at time of hire*** About the Position Colonial Williamsburg isseeking a motivated and organized Recruiter to join our team and support the full-cycle recruitment process. The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, screening, and coordinating candidates while partnering with hiring managers to identify and hire qualified talent. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Main Duties Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through offer and onboarding. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and candidate profiles. Develop and post engaging job descriptions across job boards, social media, and other recruiting platforms. Source qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and other recruitment channels. Review resumes and applications and conduct initial phone or video screenings. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. Provide candidates with information about the company, position, benefits, and hiring process. Track candidates and maintain accurate recruitment records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Assist with background checks, reference checks, employment offers, and pre-employment requirements. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings. Support employer branding and recruitment initiatives. Monitor recruiting metrics and provide updates on hiring progress. Ensure recruitment activities comply with company policies and applicable employment laws. Provide a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Required and Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, job boards, Microsoft Office, and other recruiting tools. Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
