Accountant

Tarvos Talent is looking for an Accountant for a construction company in Austin. You will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen. Key Responsibilities Review and approve high-volume accounts payable coding and payments (not responsible for data entry). Manage accounts receivable for the California services entity, including customer billing and collections using spreadsheet-based tracking. Provide backup payroll support as needed. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with the month-end close process. Analyze job costing and estimating workbooks using existing templates to support project profitability. Work across multiple accounting systems while maintaining accurate financial records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or similar. 2+ years of accounting experience. Public accounting or audit experience is a strong plus. Construction industry experience is highly preferred. Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data. Comfortable learning and working within multiple accounting platforms, including Zoho, ADP, Xero, Gusto, and Bill.com.
