Location: Dallas, TX, 75246

Contract Length: Minimum 6 months

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Thursday–Monday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative I to provide professional and courteous customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle phone calls, document and dispatch work requests, monitor environmental alarms, and support patient transport operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Answer and manage incoming calls from public, internal employees, patients, and visitors.

Document and dispatch service and work requests accurately and efficiently.

Monitor environmental alarms, including doors, gates, parking lot intercoms, and CCTV systems.

Assist with workflow coordination and assignments for patient transporters.

Handle difficult situations professionally and provide conflict resolution when needed.

Participate in departmental projects and initiatives to improve processes and efficiency.

Provide feedback to leadership regarding opportunities to improve customer service and departmental performance.

Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders.

Perform all assigned duties in a professional, courteous, and competent manner.

Support departmental operations as needed and work effectively as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative support, healthcare, call center, or dispatch services.

Preferred Experience

Healthcare customer service experience.

Call center experience.

Dispatch or work request coordination experience.

Administrative support experience.

Physical & Work Environment

Primarily an indoor, on-site work environment.

Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.

May occasionally require stooping, climbing, or lifting light materials/equipment weighing approximately 10–20 lbs.

May involve exposure to mild discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature variations, and noise.

Position does not typically involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissues, or other potentially infectious materials.
