The Senior Human Resources Manager for the Excavation Division manages a broad scope of responsibilities that includes support for U.S. Manufacturing Operations, our European Design Center and global Product Management organizations. In addition, this role helps to set the division HR strategy and govern strategic HR initiatives and is responsible for division people processes including performance management, advanced compensation/total rewards, HR analytics and mobility programs.This role partners with leaders at all levels globally to deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives and provides leadership across core HR disciplines including employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. The position requires strong consulting capability, data‑driven decision making, strong global collaboration and the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Excavation HR team in this key position to make a significant contribution to our strategic goals and help us Win With Our People.What You Will Do:Act as a trusted coach providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation and benefits and organization design.Align HR policies and programs for the division, facility or region which promote employee engagement, retention, and performance.Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and develop a story to provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.Collaborate with senior management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.Lead a team of 5-10 HR professionals to collaborate effectively with other Centers of Excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.Develop and implement change management methods and materials to facilitate deployment of HR programs and processes within a specific organization.What You Will Have:Education: Degree or equivalent experience desiredBusiness Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Global Perspective: Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace; ability to apply global perspectives appropriately in a wide range of situations.Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.Human Resources Consulting: Knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives.Talent Management: Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.Additional Info:This position will be located in Peoria, ILThis role requires 5 days a week in officeDomestic relocation is available for those who qualifySponsorship is not availableGlobal travel up to 20%What You Will Get:Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
