Who We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual excited to grow in a dynamic and creative industry. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, architecture, or a related field and is eager to learn from a seasoned team while building a career in commercial construction estimating. This is designed to evolve into a Senior Estimator position within 1–2 years. What You’ll Do: As a Jr. Estimator, you’ll support the full estimating lifecycle—from reviewing project leads and reading architectural drawings to performing take-offs, building cost proposals, and assisting with pre-install coordination. You’ll work on a variety of commercial scopes including window film, wall graphics, signage, and branded environments. You’ll collaborate closely with TGT's senior estimators, sales, and operations teams to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. This is a client-facing, detail-oriented role that operates at the intersection of design intent, technical execution, and financial planning. Your ability to think critically, stay organized, and approach challenges creatively will directly impact the accuracy of our proposals and the success of our projects. Review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to identify scope, product applications, and installation requirements Perform take-offs and quantity surveys using Excel, PDF markup tools, and internal pricing calculators Develop detailed cost estimates that account for labor, materials, logistics, and value-engineered options Research product alternatives, manufacturer specs, and installation methods to ensure accuracy and feasibility Site Visits & Field Verification Assist with job site visits to collect field measurements, verify conditions, and document substrates for proposal accuracy as needed Take site photos and notes to support estimating, sales, and project planning Participate in field verification with project manager for awarded projects to ensure alignment with bid assumptions Lead Management & Bid Strategy Monitor bid portals and lead sources to identify relevant project opportunities Help prioritize and track incoming leads based on project scope, deadlines, and strategic fit Assist in preparing and submitting bids, RFIs, and proposal packages in a timely and professional manner Coordinate seamless handoffs between estimating, sales, and operations teams upon award Client & Stakeholder Coordination Support communication with property managers, general contractors, architects, designers, and vendors Participate in client meetings (in-person and virtual) to understand project goals and clarify scope Begin developing client-facing communication and negotiation skills under senior guidance Documentation & CRM Management Maintain organized records of all project estimates, proposals, notes, and revisions Track performance of awarded projects versus estimates to improve future pricing accuracy Update CRM and internal systems with project data, lead activity, and client follow-ups Proposal Development & Presentation Assist in drafting polished, well-structured proposals and bid packages Ensure timely delivery of quotes and responses to RFPs Collaborate with senior team members to refine messaging and pricing narratives for complex projects Work closely with sales, design, and operations to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to execution Provide supporting information such as take-off visuals, photos, and notes for installation planning and billing Follow up with operations post-install to assess estimate accuracy and project outcomes Attend product trainings, networking events, vendor demos, and team meetings to build technical and product knowledge Shadow senior estimators on large-scale projects and progressively take on more ownership Contribute ideas for process improvement, pricing strategy, and team efficiency Stay informed on industry trends and innovations in specialty films, graphics, and architectural finishes Other Duties as Assigned Support additional tasks and initiatives that contribute to team performance, project success, and client satisfaction Represent the company professionally at industry events, networking opportunities, and job sites What We’re Looking For: Required: 2 years of experience in estimating, construction administration, architecture, design, interiors, or a similar field Basic knowledge of construction processes, take-offs, or reading blueprints Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PDF editing software (e.g., Bluebeam, PDF-XChange) Willingness to learn and grow into a more senior role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Must already live in the Greater Houston Area - no relocation or remote work Preferred but Not Required: Familiarity with CRM platforms and estimating software Previous experience in sales support, site surveying, or graphics/interiors/glazing work What You’ll Gain: Training & Mentorship from experienced estimators and project managers Career Path to Senior Estimator or Project Manager Diverse Project Exposure across sectors including commercial real estate, healthcare, hospitality, education, and tech campuses Team Culture that values authenticity, loyalty, and excellence Freedom to Grow : We encourage ownership, innovation, and leadership Competitive Salary + Commission Opportunities Paid Time Off & Flexible Work Hours Health, Dental, Vision & 401(k) (with company match) Inspiring, fast-paced, and supportive work environment Ready to Grow with Us?
