Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tests and observational methodologies.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that target both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to ensure that progress continues beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, guaranteeing a continuum of care during recovery.
• Keep comprehensive and timely documentation within state, federal, and organizational frameworks.
• Engage in continuous professional growth through educational opportunities and collaborative discussions with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
