Director of Legal Operations

To design and build the operational infrastructure for the Legal department, the full-time Director of Legal Operations will manage legal intake, contract operations, and corporate governance while working remotely and reporting directly to the General Counsel. Key Responsibilities Own intake for all incoming legal requests, triage and route them appropriately, and track status to ensure nothing falls through the cracks Lead the implementation of the first contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, including workflow design and template creation Support corporate governance motions and maintain corporate records for Nex's growing family of international entities Required Qualifications 5-7+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate/contracts paralegal work, or a similar operational role Hands-on experience administering a CLM or similar workflow system, with strong familiarity with tools like Ironclad or SpotDraft Experience supporting corporate governance at a private company, ideally with multi-entity or international structures Strong project management and organizational skills to handle high-volume requests alongside long-term projects Curiosity about applying AI tools to legal operations work and a preference for pragmatic solutions
