Attorney Editor – TR Labs – Legal Tech (Contract) Location: Remote (US) Employment Type: Contractor About the Role TR Labs is looking for licensed U.S. attorneys to support the development of Thomson Reuters' artificial intelligence and large language models (LLMs). This contract role combines legal expertise with emerging AI technology, helping improve the accuracy and quality of AI-powered legal products. Responsibilities Review, evaluate, and grade AI/LLM model outputs for legal accuracy and quality Analyze model responses and provide legal interpretation and feedback Stay current on legal developments relevant to your area of responsibility Participate in team meetings, collaboration sessions, and performance evaluations Build knowledge of Thomson Reuters legal products and competitor offerings Prioritize work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader team Learn and use Thomson Reuters' internal systems and tools required for the role Qualifications Required J.D. and active admission to a U.S. state Bar At least 3 years of experience practicing as an attorney in a law firm or as in-house counsel Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to interpret, organize, and communicate complex legal concepts Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable using technology, including Microsoft Office and web-based applications Ability to learn new software and internal tools quickly Interest in AI and emerging legal technology Preferred Experience evaluating or grading AI/LLM outputs or creating legal benchmark evaluations Experience with Thomson Reuters products such as Westlaw, Practical Law, or Document Intelligence Compensation and Benefits The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $40-$50/hr USD Our optional benefits can include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
