About the Role The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families across all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. This position involves assessing, diagnosing, and managing acute and chronic illnesses while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. The FNP collaborates closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that improve patient outcomes. Minimum Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization from an accredited program. Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice within the United States. Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through a nationally recognized certifying body such as the AANP or ANCC. Demonstrated clinical experience in family practice or primary care settings. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including outpatient clinics, community health centers, or rural health settings. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms. Additional certifications in specialty areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, or chronic disease management. Strong background in patient education and community outreach programs. Advanced training in behavioral health or mental health integration. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories to assess health status. Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in patients of all ages. Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Provide patient education on disease prevention, health promotion, and management of chronic illnesses. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with evidence-based clinical practices.
