Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Crescent City, California.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/26/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 26, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring critical care skills and an active CA RN license.Details\n \n ICU unit setting\n Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:15-7:15)\n 13-week assignment length\n Every other weekend requirement\n On call/call off based on census\n Epic charting system required\n Requirements\n \n Active CA RN license required\n BSN required\n Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required\n Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (hard stop)\n Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line, central line, and PICC line management\n Experience with blood product administration and port accessing/management\n Skilled in ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, and care of ventilated patients\n Experience with chest tube insertion/removal assistance and ABG interpretation\n Skilled in ETT and NT suctioning\n Experience with CVVHD/CRRT and chronic/acute renal failure management\n Skilled in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips\n Experience with continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade administration\n Skilled in emergency medication administration and procedural sedation monitoring\n Experience with CVA/acute stroke management\n Familiarity with hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun\n Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias\n Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure\n Skilled in IV insulin protocols\n Experience with hemodialysis\n Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions/PPE\n Phlebotomy skills required\n 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required\n Current certification copies required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and intervention\n Local candidates accepted at local rate\n 50-mile radius rule applies\n Returning travelers must have a one-year separation before reapplying\n Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract\n Only one holiday RTO request approved per contract\n Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day\n Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing\n 7-year work history verification required\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756672.
