Director, IT Procurement Solutions

Gilead seeks a Director to lead global procurement systems and transformation initiatives. This role oversees Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay platforms on SAP, Ariba, and related systems, requiring strategic leadership, vendor coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement. The position is based in Foster City, California with hybrid flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead global delivery and roadmap execution for Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay platforms
- Own system stability, performance, and enhancements across SAP S4, Ariba, Fieldglass, Concur, and ORO
- Manage global team responsible for procurement support, escalations, and transformation initiatives
- Establish governance frameworks, operating models, and KPIs for global procurement delivery
- Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain leaders to translate business needs into IT solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, or related field
- 12+ years relevant experience with advanced degree, or 15+ years with bachelor's degree
- Deep expertise in Ariba, Concur, and other SAP applications
- 5+ years leading global SAP or ERP teams and large-scale support organizations
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and global ERP delivery programs
- Strong understanding of global finance processes, financial controls, and integrated ecosystems
- Experience managing complex integrations across SAP and non-SAP enterprise platforms
