Responsibilities Meridell Achievement Center is a 134‑bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located northwest of Austin. Our 60‑acre campus features mature oaks, rolling hills, walking paths, and outdoor spaces, including a swimming pool, gymnasium, sports court, and playing fields. We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 10 to 17 years old with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to help young patients moderate their behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning. The Registered Nurse (RN) position is under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The RN provides physical assessments of patients, implements treatment plans, evaluates response to treatment, documents care, administers medications as prescribed, and delivers health‑care education for patients and families. The RN serves as shift supervisor of the Mental Health Techs and LVN staff, ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment for all patients. The RN provides direct care and patient management for children, adolescents, and young adults as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. The RN ensures safety, supervision, crisis management, and support of a therapeutic milieu.
