Bankruptcy Attorney
Responsibilities
- Represent parties in bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, primarily Chapter 11 cases
- Manage matters from inception through resolution
- Draft and argue motions, including first-day motions, pre-petition wage motions, critical vendor motions, and other contested matters
- Prepare and manage proofs of claim and related objections
- Advise on and assist with asset sales and acquisitions in bankruptcy proceedings
- Appear in court for hearings and participate in depositions
- Assist in strategy, risk assessment, and recovery options
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of bankruptcy experience
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Chapter 11 matters; Subchapter V experience is a plus
- Experience representing creditors, lenders, or other stakeholders
- Strong writing, advocacy, and case management skills
