HR Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional HR Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This position plays a key role in employee onboarding, HR administration, record maintenance, benefits support, and recruiting coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, confidential, customer-service focused, and eager to grow within the HR field. Based on HR assistant role descriptions found in enterprise resources, common responsibilities include employee record management, recruiting support, onboarding coordination, HRIS maintenance, and employee communication support. Responsibilities Assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork Maintain accurate employee records and HR files Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates Process employee status changes, terminations, and data updates Assist with benefits enrollment and employee questions Support leave administration, including FMLA and other employee leave requests Maintain HRIS and timekeeping records Complete employment verifications and other HR documentation Assist with open enrollment activities and employee communications Coordinate employee events, training sessions, and orientation programs Ensure confidentiality and compliance with employment regulations Provide administrative support to the HR team and leadership Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred 1+ years of administrative or HR experience Experience with HRIS systems preferred (ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar) Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Detail-oriented with strong follow-through Preferred Experience Employee onboarding and orientation Benefits administration HRIS data entry and reporting Background checks and employment verification Leave administration (FMLA, ADA, LOA) Payroll support Compliance and employee record management Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
