Job Description Land Acquisition Associate – Pittsburgh area (2602010) D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., was founded in 1978 and is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. It builds high-quality homes for the entry‑level and first‑time move‑up markets and offers mortgage financing and title services. Responsibilities Build and maintain an active pipeline of acquisition leads across the greater Pittsburgh region Develop and sustain relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, attorneys, engineers, and municipal contacts Evaluate land deals and collaborate with division management to determine land/lot pricing, product type, pricing, costs and deal structure Manage underwriting for land acquisition opportunities, including preparing competitive market analysis and financial analysis for presentation to management Negotiate lot and land purchase contracts with sellers and development partners Assess feasibility of land acquisition opportunities – title, environmental, engineering plans, approvals and entitlements Resolve key product and feasibility questions through internal collaboration Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit Travel overnight locally as required Complete additional duties as assigned Qualifications Fifth‑year college or university program certificate Four to six years of related experience and/or training Proficiency with MS Office and email Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to multi‑task with attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to multi‑task and attention to detail Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Employee Stock Purchase Plan Flex Spending Accounts Life & Disability Insurance Vacation, Sick, Personal Time and Company Holidays Multiple voluntary and company‑provided benefits Location Pennsylvania – Sewickley (primary location) #J-18808-Ljbffr D.
